Mexico City officals are going bezerk because of the weather, it is cold apparently. Its so cold that school was cancelled across many boroughs.

This was yesterday, today its colder.

I think it should be up to the schools and the PTA committees but it makes sense. I would encourage schools getting climate control thought. But, I for once I’m happy because there’s gonna be way less traffic than usual today.

We normally do delays so kids don’t have to stand in the dark in the cold. Sometimes if wind chill dips below zero they may cancel school but that’s hardly ever unless they just want to use a built in snow day.

I like cold weather, its just that if you’re used to 11 degrees being cold, then it’s a bit of an issue.

I guess that if we lived in a colder climate we’d adapt as you did, but we don’t.

I like snowmobiling too, even if I suck at it.

It did once in 1967 and it was a mess.l because we don’t have the infrastructure to clean it.

It just happens that we have really dry and cold winters and really hot and humid summers, were the rolls replaced we could have a healthy amount of snow and sub zero temps for the whole of winter, because on first snowfall the ground would chill and that would make the temperature colder, upon another snowfall it would start reflecting sunlight back preventing heating, so on and so on.

Many parts of the city today had sleet and the main highway to Toluca had some ice sections together with some sections with actual snow.

But the city? Nah.

While I was in school here in Tennessee, they cancelled once because it got down to 5 or so and they couldn’t keep the school warm and a pipe burst in another.

It was 42 F or 5 C here last Friday and I had the windows open in my car! Though, I’m from Wisconsin and currently still here so I fully realize how weird I am. 5 C felt like summer though haha! We’ve had a pretty cold winter so far. It’s been about 15 F or -9 C, but it got to -8 F or -22 C without windchill in December! It was so cold the hatch struts in my car started to not support the lift gate- never had that happen before. Also, excellent song choice!
